4 habits that hurt your relationship:-

Losing your sense of self in the relationship is a common trait amongst people suffering from low self esteem. What usually happens is that you meet someone you really like and then proceed to make them your whole life, neglecting friends in your effort to spend every waking moment of your existence with this wonderful being. Unfortunately, this is not healthy as the more the relationship becomes the focus of your life, the less likely you are to end it when things go wrong, which is how people end up stuck in dysfunctional relationships.

How to fix it: no matter how much you like someone, keep up with your hobbies, interests, and friends. Your lover fell for you precisely because you were an interesting and independent person, so maintain your life-love balance and make the most of the time you DO spend with your partner!

Looking at other people’s relationships and wishing yours was like theirs is a one-way ticket to misery. We all think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, but just because your best friend’s boyfriend buys her flowers ever week and flew her to Paris for their first anniversary it doesn’t mean your relationship is inferior. Playing the “what if” game will only even end in tears because your sense of dissatisfaction will ultimately poison your relationship from the inside out.

Do some thing special for your partners

How to fix it: rather than obsessing over the things your partner doesn’t do, focus on all the nice things they do instead and remember all the great reasons why you were attracted to them in the first place.

4 habits that hurt your relationship:-

Becoming complacent about your appearance and letting things slide is a common theme in long term relationships. When people are happy and settled, they often put weight on and stop going to the gym, but it is important to take pride in your appearance and not get sucked into an unhealthy lifestyle.

healthy relationship

How to fix it: your partner fell for you because you were full of confidence and took care of yourself, so keep a check on those unhealthy lifestyle choices before you let things slide past the point of no return!

4 habits that hurt your relationship:-

Keeping the lines of communication open is crucial to the long term success of any relationship, but all too often, we let our busy lives and careers get in the way and stop talking about the stuff that really matters. Eventually, all we DO talk about is the mundane everyday things that mean very little and before you can say “divorce” one of you is having an affair with somebody else who actually cares enough to listen!

partner as a best friend

How to fix it: treat your partner as your best friend and no matter how busy you are, make a point of setting aside some time each day to ask how there has been. Talking about the stuff that is important to both of you keeps the intimacy alive.
