Lulung:

Lulung is located at a distance of 30 kilometres from Baripada on the banks of the tributary River Palpala. This area surrounded by nature’s beauty and dense forest. The scenic beauty of this place always attracts nature lovers. It is also an ideal place for those people who love adventure. This place is also popular for the stone utensils.

Devkund Water Fall:

Devkund Water Fall

Devkund Water Fall is an ideal picnic spot in Mayurbhanj district. It is located at a distance of 90 kilometres from Lulung. The waterfall is falling down from a height of 50 feet and it’s covered by hill range. There are four other falls are located beside the Devkund fall. This five falls together known as Pancha Kunda. Pancha Kunda means place of five lakes. If you climb up more than 100 steps from Devkund, at the source of the river, then you can see an ancient temple which is known as Durga temple. The temple is dedicated to Devi Ambika Mata. The temple was constructed by the king of Mayurbhanj in 1940. The chirping sound of known and unknown birds make this place more thrilling.

Baripada:

Baripada is the most popular town in Mayurbhanj district. This town has numerous attraction for a lovely holiday. People of Odisha said that, if you don’t visit Baripada your tour would not be complete. Baripada is the best place which well connects to the whole region of Mayurbhanj.

Simlipal National Park:

Simlipal National Park is one of the biggest wildlife sanctuaries in India. It is located at a distance of 17 kilometres from Baripada town. The Simlipal National Park is spread over an area of 2,750 square kilometres. Mainly the Simlipal National Park is famous for tiger reserve. It shelters a lot of animals of different species and this all are the biggest attraction of this place. The major species in this sanctuary are Royal Bengal Tigers, elephants, Chausingas, Gaurs or Indian Bisons etc. Simlipal National Park has two waterfalls named Barehipani and Joranda.

Khiching:

Khiching is a small town located at a distance of 148 kilometres (Approximate) from Baripada. This place is famous for its various ancient temples. Kichakeswari Temple is the main attraction of this site. It was built by ancient Bhanja rulers. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda. This temple is famous for its amazing stone carvings.

Manatri:

Manatri is known for the temple of Kakharua Vaidyanath. It is located at a distance of 35 kilometres from Baripada. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The unique stylized architecture of this temple always attracts tourist’s eyes. On the walls of the temple description about the Mayurbhanj Royal Family is written in Oriya script. Mahashivratri is the main festival of this site. Thousands of devotees gather at this temple during the time of the festival.

Banthia Jagannath Temple:

Banthia Jagannath Temple is located in Baripada town. The temple was built under the supervision of King Sri Srinath Bhanjdeo, during 1863-1867. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath. Rath Yatra is the main festival of this site.

Bhimkund:

Bhimkund, Mayurbhanj

Bhimkund is located at a distance of 40 kilometres from Karanjia. This popular pilgrim site has a sacred pool. Stone walls surround the pool from each side. According to the mythology, it is believed that the second Pandava (Bhim) had taken a bath in this poll, during their exile. Makara festival is the main festival of this site.

Deogaon:

The Devagram village is popularly known as Deogaon. The village is located on the banks of the river Sono. Some ancient and ruined temples are the main attraction of this village. One can see the old stone shrines of Shiva Linga, Lord Ganesh, Goddess Parvati etc. This site is also popular as a good picnic spot.

Haripur:

During the time of 1400 AD Maharaja Harihar Bhanj founded this place. It is located at a distance of 15 kilometres from Baripada district. An ancient brick temple, Rasikaraya is the main attraction of this site.

Others attraction of this site are Jhinkeswar Temple, Jwalamukhi temple, Maa Ambika Temple, Jashipur and Rairangapur.
