Shyama Kali Temple:

Shyama Kali Temple is one of the prime attraction of Darbhanga District. It is one of the popular pilgrim centers for Hindus. This temple is dedicated to Chandi Mata. This holy temple was built in the year 1933. It is situated near the Lalit Narayan Mithila University in Darbhanga. The most valuable festival of this place is Shyama Mai worship, which is held on every year in the month of December. During this festival in this place become the much-crowded place, because at that time so many visitors from the different places come here to celebrate this festival. Every Tuesday and Saturday local devotees come here to complete their prayer.

Ahilya Asthan:

Ahilya Asthan is a beautiful village, which is known as, Ahilya Gram. Everybody believes that this ancient temple is present at the time of Ramayana. This beautiful temple is situated around 3 kilometers from the Railway Station of Kamtaul. It is dedicated to Ahilya, wife of Gautam Rishi. According to the mythology, he had cursed her to turn into a stone. But when Rama’s feet touched the stone on his way to Mithila, she regained her human form.  The main festival of this place is Ramnavmi. Every year during the time of festival this village collects a huge number of devotees from the different places.  This village also covered by the many other temples and mosques.

Chandradhari Museum:

Chandradhari Museum is a perfect historical place to collect information about the ancient period in this region. This old and beautiful Museum was built in 1957. It is situated on the eastern bank of Mansarovar Lake. This ancient museum also attracts visitors by the 11 galleries that contain rare artifacts of glass, metal, wood, ivory, and clay. Statue of Buddha, costly gems and stones, rare painting on themes from the Ramayana and Jaidev’s Geet-Govinda are some wonderful attraction of this museum.

Kusheshwar Asthan Bird Sanctuary:

Kusheshwar Asthan Bird Sanctuary is a wonderful place for all nature lovers. This bird sanctuary spreading over an area of 7019.75 acres. In the year of 1972 under wildlife protection Act, these villages have been declared as Kusheshwar Asthan Bird Sanctuary. More than 100 species of birds are currently present in this sanctuary and every year in winter season many migratory birds from different places visit this sanctuary. Actually, this sanctuary was established to preserve the Biodiversity. Kusheshwar Shiva Temple situated near Kusheshwar Asthan Bird Sanctuary is another popular attraction of this site.

Darbhanga Fort:

Darbhanga Fort has its own cultural heritage and it is a famous historical place or a tourist destination. This attractive spot covered by the beautiful mango trees and it was built by the Royal family. This fort mainly used for the residence of Darbhanga Royal Family of Zamindars. This ancient fort also was known as Raj Qila. It is situated at the time of Mughal period. Now, this historical fort is maintained very well for the conservation of the golden history.

Harahi pond:
