Ramchandi:
Ramchandi is a small village located at a distance of 28 kilometres from the city of Angul district. This village is famous for an old temple, which is dedicated to goddess Ramchandi. She is known as the symbol of women power. Everyone believed that by worshipping goddess Ramchandi sterile women will obtain children. Ramchandi Yatra or kaduali yatra is the main festival of this site. This festival is celebrated with big ceremony every year. During the time of the festival, thousands of people attend this yatra.
Sri Saila Srikhetra:
The temple of Budhi Thakurani is situated at Angul town. This temple is also known as Sri Saila Srikhetra. The main temple is 111 feet tall, an exact replica of Puri Jagannath Temple is built. It is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra. Others deity of this temple are goddess Laxmi, Bimala and Saraswati. Rath Yatra is the main festival of this site.
Deulajhari Hot Spring (The hot water spring):
Deulajhari Hot Spring is located in the state of Orissa. It is best known for its medical contribution to curing skin problems. This place is also an attraction of Geological Interest.
Bhimkhand:
Bhimkhand is one of the major tourist spots in Angul. A rock art sleeping image of Lord Bishnu is located at Bhimkand, on the right bank of river Brahmani. The image dates back to 8th-9th century A.D. and it is considered as the largest sleeping idol of Lord Vishnu as well as the second largest image in India.
Goddess Binikei Pitha:
Goddess Binikei Pitha is another great tourist attraction in Odisha. It is located at a distance of 25 kilometres from Athamalik. Dol Purnima and Binikei yatra are the major festivals of this site. Every year Binikei yatra is observed on the 10th day after the Dol Purnima, in the Bengali month of Chaitra.
Goddess Hingula:
The Goddess Hingula is situated on the bank of the river Simhada. It is located at a distance of 14 kilometres from Talcher. Hingula yatra is the main festival of this site. Every year during the month of Chaitra a large number of visitors gather here to celebrate this festival.
Talcher:
Talcher is one of the fastest growing industrial and mining complexes in the country. The coal-based Thermal power plant at Talcher, Heavy water plant of Atomic energy commission at Vikrampur, 7 numbers of underground mines & 3 numbers of open cast mines located in and around Talcher have greatly enhanced the importance of this place.
Samal:
Samal has carved out a niche for itself in the grand hall of Odisha tourism for the establishment of a Hydroelectric Project. This place is an ideal place for picnickers.
Tikarapada Wildlife Sanctuary:
Tikarapada Wildlife Sanctuary is an ideal place for boating, angling and adventure. Tikarpada Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for Gharial crocodile.
