If you already read the post, now you might know that the variety and huge collection of plugins make WordPress so popular amongst the other blogging platform and if you want take the full advantage of using the plugins then first of all you need to know how to install WordPress plugins.
Click here to visit the WordPress plugins directory and check how much plugins are there.
The installation of WordPress Plugins can be done in several ways, but here in this article I will show you the easiest way to do that.
Install Plugin in the Easiest Way
Plugin installation from the dashboard is the most easiest way to do. Here you have to do very little work, just login to your dashboard and click on plugins>add new.
Now you will see a new tab and like the above one. Now type your plugin’s name in the search box and hit search plugins. You will see your plugin at the very top with some other related plugins. Now choose which one you want to install on your blog. If you find your desired one, then just click on install now. After installing you will see a new activation tab and finally, if you want to activate the plugin then just click on activate plugin. That’s it so simple, isn’t it?
Also, you can upload your custom plugins to install
Besides that if you already have the plugin in your hand or if you buy any paid plugin, then you can also install the plugin from the dashboard. Just click on plugins>add new and then your plugin in zip format or follow the above steps.
Alternatively, you can install WordPress plugins via FTP
Though there are some other ways available like installing plugins via FTP and cpanel by which you can also install WordPress plugins. I know, like me, you also want to do your task in the most easiest way that’s why in this article I didn’t mention the FTP and cpanel method.
If you want to install WordPress plugins via FTP, then login to FTP server through FileZilla or other FTP clients, unzip plugin folder and upload your plugin to public_html>>wp-content>>plugins. Need more help? Â Read more about FTP upload.
