The Book Review of Google BigQuery Analytics

1985

Hi friends , how are you ? I am fine. I am a new-comer in THE MENTAL CLUB. So friends, today I am discussing about the Google BigQuery Analytics . It is an another interesting book related to the algorithms.

Google BigQuery Analytics : an Ultimate e-book of Computer Algorithms

Google BigQuery Analytics

Before discussing the BigQuery, at first we must know the detalied of BigQuery i.e What is BigQueary?

Like many tools, BigQuery which was also started with a problem. Google engineers were having a hard time keeping up with the growth of their data. The number of Gmail users is in the hundreds of millions; by 2012, there were more than 100 billion Google searches done every month. Trying to make sense of all this data was a time-consuming and frustrating experience.  Asking enormous datasets can be time consuming and expensive without the right hardware and infrastructure. Google BigQuery fathoms this problem by enabling super-fast, SQL-like queries against append-only tables, using the processing power of Google’s infrastructure. You can control access to both the project and your data based on your business needs, such as giving others the ability to view or query your data.

You can access BigQuery by using a web UI or a command-line tool, or by calling to the BigQuery REST API using a variety of client libraries such as Java, PHP or Python.

Google BigQuery Analytics is the perfect mentor for business and data analysts who want the latest tips on running complex queries and writing code to communicate with the BigQuery API. The book provides us many real-world examples to demonstrate current best practices and techniques, and also explains and demonstrates streaming ingestion, transformation via Hadoop in Google Compute engine, AppEngine datastore integration, and using GViz with Tableau to generate charts of query results.

It has some features which are written below :

  • Features a companion website that includes all code and data sets from the book
  • Uses real-world examples to explain everything analysts need to know to effectively use BigQuery
  • Includes web application examples coded in Python
