Mother House:

Mother House is a small house but a very peaceful place in Kolkata City. Here you can see the Mother’s tomb, rooms and museum. You can see also beautiful things such as awards, possessions, writings, which are used by Mother Teresa when she alive. Mother Teresa give up her whole life for helpless and poor peoples. She respected all over the world for her polite behaviour and as well as peaceful environment creator. It was a very good experience to visit this place. Eden Gardens:

Eden Gardens is the most popular cricket venue for all cricket lovers. It is situated in Proper Kolkata and one of the largest cricket ground in all over the world. This cricket ground was established in 1864. Victoria Memorial Hall:

Birla Temple:

Birla is a wonderful Hindu temple of Kolkata city. It is situated near Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue, Ballygunge. This temple was built by the Industrialist Birla family. This temple is mainly dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. Lord Shiva, 10 Avtar, Ganesh Ji, Hanuman Ji these all are the other gods present in this temple. This temple is open for all religious, everyday morning 5.30 am to 11.30 am and 4.30 pm to 9 pm. The Major festivals of this temple are Dol Yatra, Rash Purnima, Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna. A huge number of devotees come here to celebrating this all festivals.

Parshwanath Jain Temple:

Parshwanath Jain Temple is a holy Jain temple of Kolkata City. This temple is dedicated to the God Parshwanath, who was the 23rd Jain Tirthankar. The temple was built by a Jain Named Rai Badridas Bahadoor Mookim in 1867. This temple covered a big area and unique structure of this temple attracts many peoples. Mahavir Jayanti and Patryushana is the major festival of this place.

Jorasanko Thakur Bari or Tagore House:

Tagore House is the home building of great poet Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore House also famous as Jorasanko Thakur Bari. One Rabindranath and his whole family situated here. It a large building which explores poet’s daily life which Poet leads. This Building has many rooms where we saw poet’s usable things which they use. This all things of poet attracts many visitors. Birla Industrial & Technological Museum:

Birla Industrial & Technological Museum is a great place under the National Council of Science Museum. This place is an educational place and an attraction for Childs and adults both. Netaji Bhawan:

‘Netaji Bhawan’ is a building of Indian nationalist Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. This house was built by Bose’s father 1909. Now, this building is famous as a museum, archives and library. It is situated on Lala Lajpat Rai Sarani in Kolkata and managed by the Netaji Research Bureau. This Building has many rooms where we saw Bose’s usable things which they use.

Park Street:

Park Street is one of the most valuable places or heart of Kolkata city. Asiatic Society, the park hotel, St. Xavier’s College, Park Street Church, south park street cemetery these all are the main attraction of Park Street. Every year 25 December to 1st January, this 8 days huge numbers of visitors come here to celebrating Jesus Christ’s birthday and New Year.

College Street:

College Street is the most popular place for every people who loves books. College Street famous as a book centre. This place has huge collections of various types of books like as an educational book, school book, comics, storybook, journal, magazine, recipe book, drawing book etc. Here you can buy new and old books also. Suppose if you find a book which is very old (50 years old) then it is the best place to finding this book, I am sure you get your book easily. Every Monday to Saturday this market is open for all. College Square and Coffeehouse are another attraction of this destination. The famous Bengali song ‘Coffee House’ by Manna Dey composed in this coffee house of College Street.

Gariahat Market:

Gariahat Market is very cheap and of good quality. You can bring everything from this market. If you love shopping with a good bargaining skill this crowded place is the best place for you. Shaheed Minar:

Shaheed Minar is a wonderful place situated close to Maidan of Kolkata Metropolitan City. It is around 165 feet high and provides a scenic view of this city. Shaheed Minar is also popular of its real name Octerlony Monument. This beautiful Minar was constructed by Sir David Octerlony in the year 1848 for celebrating his victory in the Nepal war during the period between 1814- 1816. However, in the year 1969, this monuments receive the name “Sahid Minar” after the martyrs of the Indian Struggle for Independence.  The structure of this Minar is made in Egyptian style. The unique architectural style of this minar attracts many visitors.

Rabindra Sarovar:

The word Sarovar means lake. Rabindra Sarovar is an excellent lake cum Park of Kolkata city. The lake covered 73 acres in surface area and a huge variety of fishes are found here. Various trees are surrounding this full lake and some of the trees are 100 years old. During the winter season, many migratory birds can be spotted here. Beautiful nature and weather make this place as an ideal picnic spot.

Prinsep Ghat:

Prinsep Ghat is a nice place for morning and evening walk. This place is an attraction for both locals and tourists from other parts of the nation, who visit this place to spend moments of repose.  Every day in the evening time local people come here to see the scenic view of the sunset. Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House:

Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House is situated near Star Cinema Hall at Hatibagan. It is a wonderful museum based on Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda born in this house 12 January in the year 1863.  This place is maintained by Ram Krishna Mission trust. If you come to this spot then you can see many important things on Swami Vivekananda such as lifestyle, education, autobiography etc.

Maidan:

Maidan is a big greenish romantic area in Kolkata. The most romantic time of this place is the afternoon to evening. This site is Very close to the famous Victoria Memorial, Maidan is an open space and beautiful weather of this place attracts many tourists. Fort William:

Fort William is a most popular historical place in Kolkata. It is located near the Maidan area and highly protected with wall and many defence instruments. Shobhabajar Rajbari:

This place is actually a wonderful place of North Kolkata. It is situated at Shobhabazar near Shobhabazar Sutanuti Metro railway station. It is a good place for every history lovers. The architecture of Shobhabazar Rajbari was also known as saat-khilan thakurdalan. This Rajbari was built by Maharaja Nabakrishna Deb. Now this private place is famous for its Durga Puja. In the year 1757 1st time Durga Puja held here. After that every year in the time of Durga Puja a huge number of devotees and visitors come here to celebrating their Puja holidays. Otherwise, the place is rented out for hosting marriages.

East Bengal Ground:

It is basically the home ground of East Bengal football team of Kolkata. It is a good destination for every football lovers. Many football matches are held here.

St. John’s Church:

St. John’s Church is a wonderful church in ancient India. It is the first public building constructed by the East India Company. This building structure was started in the year 1784 and it was completed in 1787. The Church looks very beautiful from both inside and outside. Writers’ Building:

Writers’ Building is one of the main attraction of the city. This building was built by the East India Company while they were ruling India. It slowly took shape as the government seat of power. The lake is situated on the front of this building and the architectural structure heritage building, general post office, RBI situated at the right side and Kolkata Stock Exchange is situated on the Back side of this Red House.
