Matsyagandha Mandir:

Matsyagandha Mandir is one of the major popular temples in the state of Bihar, which is located on Matsyagandha Road near the District jail. This temple is dedicated to goddess Kali. The temple of Matsyagandha is also known as its popular name Rakta Kali temple or 64-Maha Yogini temple. The monastery architecture pattern of this temple attracts many visitors. Every day local peoples come to complete their prayer. Diwali is the main festival of this temple. At the time of Diwali every year, the authority of this temple arranged a big fair and collects a huge number of devotees from the different districts or state also.

Sanjay Gandhi Park:

Tara sthan at Mahishi:

This ancient temple is located in the village Mahishi. It is situated at a distance of 17 kilometers from Saharsa. The temple is very old three feet long idol of Bhagawati Tara. Tara sthan temple is also known as Tara Maa temple. The temple is famous as a Sakti peetha (Sati peetha). 51 major Shakti Peethas are situated all over in India, Tara sthan is one of them. According to the mythology, it is believed that the right eye of Sati had fallen here, after that a temple was constructed in the village. Every Tuesday and Saturday thousands of devotees come here to worship.

Chandika sthan at Biratpur:

Chandika sthan is famous for its historical story. It is situated in the Biratpur village of Saharsa District. This wonderful temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi. Tara Sthan or Maa Tara temple is situated close to the Chandika Sthan. This village has historical importance dating back to the time of Mahabharata. Villagers said that once upon a time this ancient place was the residence of Pandavas.  Pandavas lived here for 12 years during their period of exile. Navaratri is the main festival in this site, during that time many devotees from all parts of the country come here to celebrate Navaratri festival.

Mandan Bharati Asthan:

Mandan Bharati Asthan is situated in the Mahishi Village. This village is famous for the birthplace of legendary scholar Mandan Mishra, who was a popular philosopher and pundit of the 8th century. He along with his wife Bharati made memorable contributions to Indian philosophy. This place is very interesting or important place for every philosopher.

Sun Temple:

Sun Temple is situated in Kandaha village of Saharsa District. This village is popular as a sleepy hamlet known for antiquities. The statue of this temple is too unique and different stylized which attracts many visitors. This temple is present at the time of 14th century. So many beautiful structures inscribe on the wall of this temple.

Laxminath Gosaisthal:

Laxminath Gosaisthal is situated in Bangon which is located at a distance about 9 kilometers from Saharsa District. The major attraction of this site is an ancient village inhabited by Maithil Brahmins and Holy Durga Mata temple. Famous poet Laxmi Nath Gosai still lived here from 18 century and he wrote so many religious songs. Every villager gives respect him and loved his song and poem very much. Durga Puja is one of the popular festivals of this villages. Many visitors from far away come to worship and celebrate their festivals.

Karu Khirhari Temple:

Karu Khirhari Temple is another popular tourist attraction in Saharsa District. It is located on the bank of Kosi River and just at a 2 kilometers distance from Mahishi. Karu Khirhari Temple was established by the Saint Karu Khirhari who is said to have attained divinity by virtue of his Shiv-Bhakti a dedication to cows. Everybody said that Karu Baba had sacrificed his whole life to save the cows. Karu Baba always believed on Lord Shiva because he also loved cows. Many visitors from far away come here and offer milk to Karu Baba. Recently the Government of Bihar announces that this temple develops as a major tourist spot.
