Baidyanath:

Attraction of Kaimur District

Baidyanath is a village of Kaimur district. It is located at a distance of 9 kilometers to the south of Ramgarh block headquarters. This village is famous for the home to a Lord Shiva temple, which was built by the rulers of Pratihar dynasty. Antic coins and others valuable resource have been discovered here. According to the archaeologist, the temple was constructed in 812-13 AD. Now, historical importance and unique architecture of this place attract many visitors.

Durauli:

Durauli is famous for two ancient temples that were built by the Cheros. It is situated at a distance of  8 kilometers from Ramgarh. This two temples beautifully decorated and the amazing inscription of this temple attracts many people.

Maa Mundeshwari Temple in Kaimur District

Ramgarh is one of the most populous villages in Kaimur district. The village is famous for the old Mundeshwari temple. It is one of the oldest temples in Bihar. The temple is built on a hilltop that rises to a height of about 600 feet. Inscription and archaeological importance of this temple prove that it is situated here from the dates back as 635 AD.

Chorghatia:

According to the history, It is believed that a Kanyalkubya cleric named Harshu Pandey, under the rule of Raja Shaliwahan, finished his life in protest against the demolition of his house. The Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Kaimur district. It was established in the year of 1982. The total area of this Sanctuary is 501 km square. This Sanctuary is famous as a Tiger reserve. Lush green dense, pre-historic caves, numerous waterfalls, rock painting these all are the attraction of this Sanctuary. There are different types of flora and fauna are also exist in this forest. The main species in the forest are Tiger, chital, Rabbits, Leopard, Black Buck, Wild cat, Chinkara. Porcupine, Indian Monkey, Sambhar, Peafowl, Blue Bull, Baboons or Langoor, Wild Dogs, Snake, Wolf, Mongoose, Jackal, Ratal. Winter is the best time to visit Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary.

Adhaura:

Adhaura is situated at a distance of 58 kilometers from Bhabua. It is located on the Kaimur hill, at an altitude of approximately 2000 feet from the sea level. This place covered by lush green forest. Charming weather and scenic views of this destination attract many visitors.
