What is PCB
A printed circuit board (PCB) is an electronic circuit that is used in the devices so that the mechanical support and its electronic components can be routed. It is non-conductive materials, such as fiberglass or various plastic sheets made, which easily hold the copper circuitry.
PCB is also known as Printed Wiring Board (PWB) or Etched Wiring Board (EWB).
PCB is a copper laminated and non-conductive printed circuit board, in which all the electrical and electronic components are connected together in a common board, in which the base of the board is accompanied by physical support for all components.
When the PCB was not developed, at that time all the components were connected to a wire which increased the complexity and the credibility of the circuit was reduced, in this way, we could not make very large circuits like the motherboard.
In PCB, all components are connected without wires, all components are internally connected, so this reduces the complexity of overall circuit design.
PCB is used to provide electricity and connectivity between components, through which it works in the design mode.
PCB users can be customized for any specifications according to the requirements. It can be found in many electronics devices; Such as TV, mobile, digital camera, computer parts; Graphics card, motherboard, etc. In addition, it is used in many areas; Such as medical equipment, industrial machinery, automotive industry, lighting, etc.
Types of PCB
There are several types of PCB available for the circuit. From these types of PCB, we have to choose the appropriate type of PCB according to our application.

1. Through-hole PCB
In this type of PCB, we have to make a hole by using the drill on the PCB. In these holes, the components of the component are mounted on the pads located in the opposite direction of PCB and soldered. This technique is most useful because it gives more mechanical support to the electrical component and is a very reliable technique for mounts of component, but drilling in PCB makes it more expensive.
In single layer PCB, this mounting technology is easy to implement, but it is more difficult in case of double layer and multi-layer PCB making hole.
2. Surface mounted PCB
In this type of PCB, components are smaller in size because these components have very little lead or no lead is required to mount on the board. Here, in this technique, SMD components are placed directly on the surface of the board and there is no need to make a hole on the board.

EAGLE is the most popular and easiest way to design a PCB. EAGLE means the easily applicable Graphical Layout Editor, which was developed by the first cadSoft computer and is currently a developer of Autodesk software.
Multisim is also very powerful and easy-to-learn software. Which has been originally developed by Electronics Workbench and is now a division of National Equipment (NI). It includes integrated import export features in microcontroller simulation and PCB layout software. This software is widely used for academic and industry education in circuit education.
EasyEDA is a software that is used to design and simulate circuits. This software is schematic capture based on Ngspice and PCB layout, an integral tool for SPICE circuit simulation. The most important advantage of this software is that it is the web-based software and is used in the browser window.
4. Altium Designer
This software was developed by Australian software company Altium Limited. The main feature of this software is schematic capture, 3D PCB design, FPGA development, and release/data management. This is the first software that offers 3D visualization and PCB clearance check directly from the PCB editor.
This software has been developed by Jean-Pierre characters. This software has tools which can make BoM (Bill of Material), artwork and 3D view of PCB as well as all components used in the circuit. There are several components available in this software’s library and there is a facility that users can add to their custom component. This software supports many languages.
