Don’t snooze the alarm

The easiest thing all of us can do in the morning is to press snooze. But, if you snooze all the time, you start your day on a lazy note. This can further impact your day and affect your productivity levels. For optimum energy and the right start, wake up at the same time every day. Don’t just snooze your day away. Wake up and start your day with the first alarm.

Eat a nourishing breakfast

Proper breakfast fuels your body and jumpstarts the engine. Proper breakfast right when you wake up can limit your craving later in the day. Eat something healthy that consists of protein, fiber, and healthy fats. You should never miss your breakfast if you want to be productive later on and make the right decisions.

Exercise

Morning exercise can energize you and motivate you to strive for success later in your day. The point here is to get your blood flowing and increase your energy levels. Bare in mind that you don’t have to do a full workout right in the morning. Even a ten-minute cardio routine will give your brain a nice wake-up and create a productive start. Apart from morning exercise, including at least three strength training sessions into your week for optimum health. You can do these right after work so you can have enough time to properly wind down after it.

Plan an outline of your next day

When you know how to approach your goals the next day, you’ll know how to prioritize the day right. Write down a rough outline of the things you want to achieve. This is a useful technique that helps people stay on track with their goals. When you enter the office the next day, you won’t feel overwhelmed by the amount of work. You’ll know where to start and how to structure your day according to this outline.

Wind down with a book

The first rule of a wind-down routine is to make it relaxing and joyful as possible. The second rule is to go tech-free for at least two hours before bed. This is important because our brain has to prepare for sleep and screen light can only wind it up. So, if you plan to hit the sack at 10 p.m. you should stop using your phone around 8 p.m.

To break free from social media addiction, change endless scrolling to page-flipping. In other words, read a book. Reading is one of the easiest ways to deal with stress. Not only will reading make your feel lighter, but it will also boost your cognitive function and expand your knowledge. So, grab a book and drink a bedtime tea while you get lost in a good story. But remember the first two rules and forget about your phone.

Clear your head before sleep

The main reason why we can’t fall asleep at night even is the body tension and high levels of stress hormones rushing through our bodies. The only way to fall asleep is to clear your head and relax your muscles so you can relax. A full body massage allows you to clear your mind and induces a calm state of mind. One of the ways to reap the benefits of a massage in the comfort of your home is to use a therapeutic massage chair. Just a few minutes every night can heal your body, ease the tension and prepare you for rejuvenating sleep.

Stick to the same bedtime routine

At least one hour before bed, prepare your wardrobe for the next day. This will save you time in the morning and limit any early morning stress. Continue with sleep hygiene rituals. Take a brisk shower or spend 15 minutes on a hot bath. If you like to end the day with a bath, make sure to think about the positive things that happened throughout the day. This will finish the day on a positive note and lower cortisol levels before sleep. Washing your face and brushing your teeth are the last steps in your bedtime routine. Make sure to go to sleep at the same time every night so you can wake UP energized and refreshed.

A proper morning routine sets you off to a productive day. Whereas, a proper night time routine calms you down and creates a good start for the next day. Make sure to pay attention to your routines and embrace those that can only improve your life.
