Laxmi Narayana Temple:
Beautiful Laxmi Narayana temple was built by IMFA (Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited). The architecture of this temple is classically Odisha and the structures are made of concrete. Mainly this temple is dedicated to Mata Laxmi and Lord Narayan. Other deities of this place are Hanuman, Lord Jagannath, Balaram, Subhadra and Lord Shiva also worshiped by huge numbers of devotees.
Maa Majhigharani:
Maa Majhigharani is a presiding deity of Rayagada, generally known as Majji Gowri in A.P. Mata Majhigharani is the holy deity of the tribal community. She is considered to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga. According to the history during the time of 4th century AD the Emperor Samudragupta attacked the kingdom of the local ruler but the local ruler able to successfully defend his kingdom with the blessings of Goddess Majhigharani. After that, a beautifully decorated temple was built by the local ruler in the 14th century.
Chatikona:
Chatikona is a pilgrim center situated at a distance of 48 kilometers from Rayagada city. An ancient Shiva temple is situated in this village. This village is surrounded by valley and hills. The natural beauty of the waterfall makes this place a good picnic spot. Mahashivratri is the main festival of this village. During the time of occasion, local tribes beautifully arranged a grand fair in this place.
Hanging Bridge:
The Hanging Bridge was constructed for provides communication facilities about 20,000 local villagers. This bridge connects the two sides of rivers Nagavali. This 151 meters suspension bridge was designed by Girish Bhardwaj.
Paikapada:
The site Paikapada is famous for huge numbers of Shiva Lingams. There are 99, 99,999 Shiva lingams in and around Paikpada Shrine. The car festival and Mahashivratri are the major festivals of this place. Lord Jagannath, Maa Dhakineswar Kalika and Samudra are also worshiped here. The huge collection of Shiva lingams always attracts lots of visitors.
Hatipahar:
Hatipahar is famous for nature’s beauty. It is situated about 3 kilometers from Rayagada town. This site has two breath-taking waterfalls, which are generated over the river Nagavali. The scenic beauty of this place always impresses visitors.
Minajhola:
Minajhola is a natural spot situated in the heart of the dense forest. It is located at a distance of 134 kilometers from Rayagada city center. The main attraction of this site is a Shiva temple at the confluence of three rivers. Pleasant weather and scenic view of this place attract various travelers. Nowadays it is considered as an ideal picnic spot.
Devagiri Hill:
The Devagiri is a small hill rises to a height of 120 meters. At the top of the hill, there are perennial poles of water called Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Bhargavi and indradyumna. There is a cave looking like two jawas, inside the cave, there is a temple also. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. During the time of Mahashivratri festival, a large number of devotees gather here to celebrate the occasion.
