Koel River:
Koel is the main river of Latehar district. The river originates from the Palamau Tiger reserve and it flows in the western part of this district. The River divided into two part, one is known as North Koel and another one is South Koel. This River is the main source of irrigation of this district and it served water for various purposes, such as Domestic, Agriculture etc. The pleasant weather of this place always attracts many visitors.
Kanti Waterfalls:
Kanti Waterfalls is a natural tourist spot in Latehar district. It is located at a distance of 23 kilometres from Amjharia Plateau. Kanti Waterfalls is falling down from a height of around 200 feet. Tourist can easily reach this site by walk.
Palamau Fort:
Palamau Fort is one of the ancient forts in Latehar district. It is considered as one of the famous tourist spots in Latehar district. It was built by Raja Medini, who was a ruler of pre- Mughal era. The fort covered an area of 1.6 kilometres and located on the bank of North Koel River.
The Ruined fort has two storeyed houses, three domed mosques and a watch tower. The structure of this fort was constructed as same as Rohtashgarh and Shergarh fort. The structure was made of stones and concrete. This tourist spot always collects a huge number of visitors as well as history lovers.
Lower Ghaghri Falls:
Lower Ghaghri Falls is located at a distance of 10 kilometres from Netarhat in Latehar district. It is considered among one of the highest waterfalls of Jharkhand. The Waterfalls is falling down from a height of around 320 feet.
Sahi Falls:
Sahi Falls is also known as snake falls in Latehar district. The shape of this falls like a snake, that’s why this falls name snake falls. It is located at a distance of 35 kilometres from Netarhat. Now, this place is known as a famous picnic spot.
Magnolia Point:
Sunset view of Magnolia Point is the major attraction for every tourist. It is located at a distance of 10 kilometres from Netarhat. When the Sun descends into the valley of Vindhya hills its filled the sky with the various colourful shadow like a rainbow.
Lodh Waterfalls:
Lodh Waterfalls is one of the major tourist spots in Latehar district. It is located on the source of Budha River. Lodh Waterfalls is falling down from a height of around 465 feet. The falls hidden by dense forest which made this spot adventures. It is considered as the highest waterfalls in Jharkhand.
