For this first open your contacts, then click in three point’s hamburgers, which is situated in the corner of right side of top. Now select ‘Contacts to display’ and make sure that there ‘All contacts’ has been selected. Now go back to Contacts and check that if has it come back or not. If that comes back then it is not deleted or not lost, it was just hidden.
How to restore deleted contacts through Gmail:
It is very easy to restore deleted contacts from an Android if your device is synced with a Google account. You can restore up to 30 day’s old data, deleted contacts willingly or unwillingly. How to restore missing contacts through Gmail, that is discussed in the below.
Step 1: Which Gmail ID your Android device was registered, sign in with that Gmail.
Step 2: Now click on the Contacts from the drop down menu which is situated in the left corner of Gmail.
